Tom’s Tech Tip: Increase Your Chances of Getting Your Legal Nurse Consulting Gear Back

Let’s face it, it’s human to lose things and since most of us are human, we’re going to lose things. I’m not proud to say it, but on a daily basis I lose my car keys, my wallet and occasionally my temper. So far though, I haven’t (permanently) lost my digital camera, iPhone®, iPad®, laptop or sanity. However, I do assume that the day is inevitable that one (or more) of those will go walkabout.

Tom’s Tech Tip: Update Time (Again)!

Summer is coming to an end and the children are safely back in school (or about to go back). Now that you can hear yourself think, it’s time for all Certified Legal Nurse Consultants to do some routine computer maintenance. At LegalNurse.com we roll out updates and patches on a regular basis and I highly recommend all CLNC consultants make sure their operating system, whether Windows or iOS is current and updated.

Tom’s Tech Tip: Microsoft® Office for iPad® – Not an End-All for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants

I have a love-hate relationship with my iPad. Since I travel with a computer my iPad isn’t always there for me. But because I travel with a computer, Microsoft Office is always there for me. That means I can open, edit, update and alter every sort of Office document, spreadsheet or presentation wherever and whenever I want. The few times I’m traveling with just my iPad, I’m pretty much restricted to viewing Word documents.

Tom’s Tech Tip: Certified Legal Nurse Consultants Let Your iPhone® Stand Up!

I’m a gadget guy. I love gadgets. Here’s one I think is stellar – Fuse Chicken’s Une Bobine iPhone stand. If you purchase the stand and the car adaptor, it will allow you to place your iPhone at a reasonable height in your car. That way, when you’re using your phone for directions, as would a busy CLNC consultant on her way to meet with a new attorney-client, it’s right where you can hear it or glance at the directions without taking your eyes too far off the road.

Tom’s Tech Tip: The Rumors of Windows 7’s Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

If you’re one of those CLNC consultants who took the passing of Windows XP pretty hard then I’m sure you’re doubly upset about the that Microsoft will stop providing “mainstream support” for Windows 7 on January 13, 2015. What does this mean to Certified Legal Nurse Consultants? Well, my advice is to keep calm and carry on.
