When I mentor Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, most recognize and appreciate the 32 years of legal nurse consulting and business experience I bring to their issue. Most listen carefully and act on my advice.
The Certified Legal Nurse Consultants had an awesome time at the Consultant 2.0 workshop in Chicago. It started with the OMG surprise appearance from Oprah and ended with the transformational day with Stedman Graham.
Summer is coming to an end and the children are safely back in school (or about to go back). Now that you can hear yourself think, it’s time for all Certified Legal Nurse Consultants to do some routine computer maintenance. At LegalNurse.com we roll out updates and patches on a regular basis and I highly recommend all CLNC consultants make sure their operating system, whether Windows or iOS is current and updated.
Last weekend was a whirlwind. It started at the Consultant 2.0 Reception Thursday night with our surprise guest, Oprah Winfrey. Friday was our incredible Consultant 2.0 Workshop with Stedman Graham. Saturday morning Tom and I flew to Napa, California for a Vintner’s Party on Pritchard Hill hosted by the owners of one of my favorite wineries, Continuum, which is owned by the Mondavi family.
Summer’s coming to a close and as the kids head back to school it may seem that life’s pace is increasing at warp speed. Juggling your CLNC® business, family, kids, friends and social obligations, it’s easy to feel that life is out of control. Here are three strategies for staying on the balance beam of life through the back-to-school season – whether you have kids or not.
Oprah is the most successful woman on the planet and there’s a reason. Okay, there are lots of reasons – she’s smart, creative, driven and outrageously fun, to name just a few. While all of these qualities contribute to her success, I believe she possesses one quality that trumps all others – she has a beautiful heart.
As Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, we need more in our home offices than fancy office equipment and communication devices. I appreciate these surface aids and cannot live without them. But before I turn on my computer to work on cases for my attorney-clients I turn on these 5 mindsets.
I have a love-hate relationship with my iPad. Since I travel with a computer my iPad isn’t always there for me. But because I travel with a computer, Microsoft Office is always there for me. That means I can open, edit, update and alter every sort of Office document, spreadsheet or presentation wherever and whenever I want. The few times I’m traveling with just my iPad, I’m pretty much restricted to viewing Word documents.
As a CLNC consultant you automatically enjoy all of the membership benefits offered by the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC) and your CLNC colleagues. There are also huge benefits in aligning with professionals in small businesses outside of the legal nurse consulting industry.
A Certified Legal Nurse Consultant shared an email that should never have traveled across the information superhighway. To say it was unprofessional is an understatement. Mean-spirited, nasty and snarky also spring to mind. It was a classic example of the tort of keyboard rage and I’m happy to report that it didn’t come from another CLNC consultant.
