As the owner of my legal nurse consulting business I’m an entrepreneur and entrepreneurs are known to be risk-takers. I admit I probably fall into that category. I’ve been taking risks for more than three decades now, so taking risks feels as natural as putting a hospital corner on my bed when making it.
My mother and grandmother were both nurses, so I was third-generation. In my 23rd year as a nurse, I started wondering what was next. Single, with grown-up children, I was free to take the next step. And I knew I wanted to go back to school – maybe get my masters or become a nurse anesthetist, but nothing inspired me.
That’s an easy question to answer – as long as you’re on Windows® 7 or above or the Mac® iOS. Meet either of those two criteria and the answer is any of them. Chrome®, Firefox®, Safari® and even Internet Explorer® are all terrific.
Have you ever noticed that the more self-absorbed a person is, the unhappier they seem to be? I am blessed to have a great role model in Blanche, an 82-year-old friend, who is like my second mom. I call her the “Neighborhood Samaritan.” Since I was 15 years old I’ve witnessed how she loses herself in the service of others. Whether it’s her church, her friends or the neighborhood kids who visit every day, she always gives her full attention and passion to others in a selfless way. She tires me out just hearing about all of the good deeds she does for everyone on a daily basis. LOL!
