Realizing a vision doesn’t mean blindly stepping off a cliff or dropping your paycheck on lottery tickets and trusting you’ll win. Skydivers carefully pack their own parachutes, scuba divers check their own gear and entrepreneurs write business plans.
Life might not be as good as you’re hoping for, but it’s always better than you think it is.
What spews out of your mouth has impact on you and others. Is that attorney difficult or feisty? Is your legal nurse consultant subcontractor slow or appropriately thorough?
The 2008 financial crisis that originated with the banking industry and subsequent recession was brought on by some of the greatest economic minds in the country – the experts.
We often think the way to grow our legal nurse consulting business is to surround ourselves with vendors, CLNC subcontractors and attorneys who think the way we do, when in fact they shrink our world.
Many assume the most successful and happiest Certified Legal Nurse Consultants have had it easy. Nothing could be further from the truth. Some of our most successful CLNC consultants have had twins, brain surgery, custody battles and nasty divorces.
Sure you want your attorney-clients to appreciate you, but their gratitude and applause can’t be the driver for your success. You have to know yourself, respect yourself and not be dependent on the praise of others.
We’re all CEOs of our legal nurse consulting business. You’d think we’re the conductor – orchestrating all the moves and outcomes. It doesn’t work that way.
Life and business are fraught with problems. The only way to dodge problems is to not participate in either – which, of course, is not possible as long as we’re breathing.
