RNs get into nursing to make a difference. It’s in our DNA. I always tell the Certified Legal Nurse Consultant students that while they’ll enjoy the perks of weekends and holidays off and getting to go to the bathroom during work hours, those perks are not the drivers that will get them out of bed every morning.
One of my favorite quotes from the Chinese philosopher, Confucius, suggests that the man who asks a question is a fool for a minute, the man who does not ask is a fool for life.
I respect RNs and Certified Legal Nurse Consultants who don’t like to make mistakes. After all, saving lives, doing a superlative legal nurse consultant job or providing stellar service to an attorney-client begins with the intention to not err.
Procrastination is not always bad. I hear people say, “Finish what you start,” or “You had that new idea, where did you go with it?”
One of my favorite quotes, “Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least” is a wonderful reminder that life is meant to be grand.
Being born American, we certainly hit the birth lottery. But where we’re born, and who we’re born to, does not completely tell the story of who we’re destined to become.
I like to believe that one of my favorite quotes “People who say ‘It can’t be done,’ are always being interrupted by somebody doing it” describes me. Yes, I like to be the person doing what others say can’t be done.
Between work, computers, tablets, the Internet, Game of Thrones and smartphones it’s possible to never step outside, except to get a better signal or to get in and out of your car.
Being able to do anything (becoming a legal nurse consultant) is not just about acquiring a skill, it’s also about acquiring a specific mindset, i.e., believing in one’s own capabilities and potential.
One of the staffers at LegalNurse.com gave me a beautiful paperweight which reads “NURSE, is just another word to describe a person strong enough to tolerate everything and soft enough to understand everyone.”
