Yesterday was not a good day. It seemed as though every task I started was taking twice as long as it should and nothing was getting completed. I felt like I was swimming upstream against a strong current much like a salmon in spawning season. I like to start and end my day with a clean desk, a stack full of completed projects and reports from my staff that reflect the same.

Lucky for me I love to eat out because my schedule often doesn’t leave me the choice of eating at home. Did I say I like to eat out? Let me say I just like to eat. I’m a total foodie, and as Tom says, “I can’t believe we’re eating lunch and you’re already talking about what’s for dinner!” My foodie ways have taken me to restaurants all over the world and in those adventures we’ve encountered both awesome and not so awesome servers.
My most Memorable CLNC® case was one of my first cases. Although the case isn’t worthy of historical significance, it was the confidence builder I needed as a new Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.
My most challenging and Memorable CLNC Case is that of a woman who was blinded during a blepharoplasty. The plaintiff attorney handed me four photographs and seven pieces of paper with doctor scratching.

Opportunity rarely presents the way you expect it to – it’s often a master of disguise. Case in point – a new Certified Legal Nurse Consultant rejected an opportunity to consult on a legal nurse consultant job because it was outside of her specialty.

The main focus in your phone conversation with any attorney-prospect is to schedule an appointment that will get your foot in the door for a face-to-face meeting. Once you can show attorneys firsthand what you can do for them, they usually reciprocate by giving you a case to review.
