CLNC® Success Story: How Certified Legal Nurse Consultant Rebecca Jones Overcame Being Stuck in a Stale RN Job

It’s common knowledge that a positive mindset is a must in order to succeed in anything. But, how does an exhausted RN who decides to become a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant create that positive mindset when her nursing career is stalled and she is pulled down by negative energy everywhere she turns?

Certified Legal Nurse Consultant Rebecca Jones, RN, MSN, CNM, CLNC, set out to evaluate everything surrounding her and the home environment that was forcing her to struggle through each day. She shifted from negativity to creating the positive mindset necessary to launch her legal nurse consulting business by committing to “take care of me” and putting herself first for a change.

Rebecca delivered her new positive mindset to attorneys at a legal conference where she exhibited with a LegalNurse.com CLNC Marketing Mentor. The new mindset and renewed Rebecca gained more than 40 attorney-prospects. From that single exhibiting experience Rebecca now has two large law firms with standing contracts and six additional attorney-clients who send her new cases each month.

When you’re surrounded by negativity, it’s easy to become glum yourself. But as Rebecca shares in this legal nurse consulting video, attorney-clients and more of what you want are just a mindset away.

Congratulations Rebecca for doing the work you needed to create a positive mindset and successfully launch your legal nurse consulting business!

  1. Congratulations! Your story is inspirational to me! I wonder if you’d mind sharing, in a general way, how I can begin to take care of myself? I feel selfish if I’m not meeting everyone else’s “needs.”

    Thanks,

    Andrea Hartong, RN, CLNC

  2. Congratulations, Becky! You are so right about sometimes hitting a stalemate in your nursing career. I have felt that way also. But thanks to Vickie, you, some other CLNC® consultants, and all the CLNC® Mentoring, my business is also on the upswing! Thank you, Vickie and Becky.

  3. Becky, you have taught yourself well to change the mindset. It is very encouraging to have the CLNC® business when one goes to their clinical jobs knowing we have a bright future and we can still stay in the nursing profession.
In the CLNC® business, Vickie has educated us to know how much we educate our attorney-clients with each case we do for them.
Thanks for sharing your success about the exhibiting strategy which I love to do the most.

  4. Congratulations on taking the step and thinking of you. I just saw the video clip and it’s amazing how you mention exactly how I’ve been feeling and exploring the way to make that change. I’m at the point right now to just do some travel nursing just to get a different sense of environment until I fall into the legal aspect. Congrats again, and I know there are many more nurses feeling the same way. God bless.
