Vickie Milazzo's Thoughts for Success

Thoughts for Success: It’s Not What We Make of the World, It’s What We Make of Ourselves That’s Important

Attention Certified Legal Nurse Consultants: If you want 2016 to be different and end differently than 2015, you’ve got some work to do. This might not be what you want to hear on New Year’s Day but I’m opening Camp Buck-Up early this year. 🙂

Vickie Milazzo’s New Year’s Day Thoughts for Success

In 2016, there’s no time for hangovers, whining, complaining or excuses. There’s just time for doing what you need to do to get your legal nurse consulting business where you want it to be.

Here’s my Thought for Success for creating a New Year, new you and new start: “It’s not what we make of the world, it’s what we make of ourselves that’s important.” Too often we’re vested in what we make of the world, but that rarely takes us where we want to be. I say what we make of ourselves is more important. What do you plan to make of yourself in 2016?

Success Is Yours!

P.S. Comment and share what you’d like to make of yourself in 2016.

  1. Well, it’s no longer January 1st, however, what do I plan to make of myself this year? I plan to follow Vickie’s sage advice, taking steps EVERY DAY (except my day off!) to grow my business. Some days that means reading or rereading her material. Finding attorneys to market to (and yes, I’m using her advice there as well to find leads), making those phone calls and following up consistently and turning out an outstanding work product will make me a successful Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. My office is clean and productive. My computer is efficient. An attorney called me yesterday in response to a mailing I sent out last week. Yay! And last but not least, I am using my secret weapon. As the youngest of 5 children and as the mom of 5 children and grandma of 6 children, and as an emergency room nurse myself, I have developed an amazing secret weapon. The amazing ability to tune distractions out! There better be blood if you interrupt me or at least the toast burning up-that was earlier today-thank God for smoke detectors! I dumped it outside, opened the windows and went back to work. Thanks, Vickie!
