As a CLNC Mentor for LegalNurse.com, I frequently mentor Certified Legal Nurse Consultants on their first auto accident case. Once I remind them just how easy and basic these cases can be they are off and running.
I always joke that I wake up with a plan and by 9:00am I (or someone else) has busted that plan. I consider my agility to be one of the keys to my legal nurse consulting business success, but that doesn’t mean I’m a crisis worker. Like any successful Certified Legal Nurse Consultant I can certainly work under stress when I have to, but the goal for all of us should be to avoid stress whenever possible. Stress isn’t the only profitless side-effect of procrastinating.
Mark Twain nailed it when he described the two most important days in our lives. We can take no credit for the first, but the second is entirely within our influence.
I’ve just posted my 2015 computer recommendations for all CLNC consultants in the Association section of the NACLNC. We’ve included Apple computers again, but put specs for the high-end. After all, if you’re going to spend the money on an Apple computer don’t scrimp – go big or go Windows.
It should come as no surprise to any Certified Legal Nurse Consultant or nurse working an RN job in a hospital that a recent Gallup Poll once again determined that nursing is the most trusted profession.
The next time you go to the grocery store, drugstore or warehouse club take a look at the healthcare services being offered. You may or may not be surprised to see that there’s a doctor or a nurse practitioner present and that your favorite drugstore or grocery store is now in the healthcare business.
Negative energy is a positive force – a force that even the most successful Certified Legal Nurse Consultant can’t always avoid. We can, however, minimize negative energy’s impact by surrounding ourselves with positive people who are genuinely on our team.
