Vickie’s Favorite Quotes: Katherine Hepburn

We’re heading to Port Canaveral today for our 2024 NACLNC® Conference Cruise. We’re so excited to connect with the Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, many of whom we haven’t seen since the onset of the pandemic, except on Zoom.

The Conference Curriculum is a reminder of how diverse and interesting the business of legal nurse consulting is. We have CLNC® consultants speaking on the electronic health record, necrotizing enterocolitis cases, healthcare fraud, birth injury cases, soft tissue injuries, laparoscopic abdominal surgery cases, emergency cases and sepsis cases.

Katherine Hepburn, who said, “If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that is going to be interesting” would have been in awe of just how interesting it is to support yourself as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.

Over the years we’ve had RNs say, “I love 12-hour shifts because I get 4 days off each week.” If they love what they do during those 12-hour shifts, I’m happy for them. But if all they love are the extra days off, I’m with Hepburn – they had bloody well better find some way to make nursing interesting again.

For those of us who will be boarding the Wonder of the Seas tomorrow, we’ve found our own way to make nursing interesting again and we don’t have to work 12-hour shifts, unless of course we choose to. 🙂

Success Is Yours,

P.S. Comment here and share how your legal nurse consulting business has kept you interested in nursing.
