Vickie’s Favorite Quotes: T.S. Eliot

Caring is a beautiful quality, but as T.S. Eliot said it is equally important to know when not to care. One thing Certified Legal Nurse Consultants can’t afford to care about is the attorney who says “no” to you. Caring about the attorney who says “no” creates a fear mindset. Nothing good can come from fear when marketing your CLNC® business. Care instead about sharing your expertise with attorneys and fear will lose its power over you.

At the end of the day, when an attorney says “no,” who cares? Not successful Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. After all, they know there are 1,268,010 more attorneys waiting to meet them.

I’m Just Sayin’

P.S. Comment and share what you care about and how that moves you forward in your legal nurse consulting business.

  1. Vickie,
When you told us in the CLNC® 6-Day Certification Seminar about there being 1.2 million attorneys, it stuck firmly in my head and was the single phrase that launched my successful career. When I first started out and was feeling discouraged my husband would remind me and say, “Remember, it’s just a numbers game, eventually you’ll hear a ‘yes’ as long as you keep asking.” The first “yes” started a ripple effect and I have never needed to ask since then.
Thank you for providing the vehicle to my extraordinary life!
    Becky

  2. In the beginning, when I sat down with my attorney call list. I had to tell myself, “do not think, just do it.” It is true that fear of hearing a “no” can set you back if you let it. I have hardly had a “no” to date, but a lot of firms say, “they have me on file and will call if they need me.” Having you on file is a good thing because I am in the middle of a case that had me on file. The only ones who were a “no” was because they practiced non-medical related laws. So, I have learned to first find out what law they practice. It is encouraging to know there are over 1.2 million attorneys.

    1. I had to add to my comments:
Once I got the hang of calling consistently, my calling skills and the outcomes improved. Also, my voice tones are upbeat and exciting so the gatekeepers and attorneys feel comfortable speaking with me. The outcome I speak of is getting in the door of that firm.
