When I mentor a new Certified Legal Nurse Consultant about how exhibiting at legal conferences is one of the best ways to obtain attorney-clients, I can almost always predict the response, “But Vickie, exhibiting is expensive!”
On the surface exhibiting may appear expensive, but when you concentrate your marketing budget on an event attended by your target market (attorney-prospects) combined with the ability to meet those attorney-prospects face-to-face, you are almost certainly guaranteed to go home with cases and clients. That sounds like a bargain to me!
Connie and Frank hail from different states and have different specialties. Meeting at the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC®) Conference they wisely formed a strategic alliance to exhibit to attorneys together. They identified a legal conference and brainstormed participation and preparation.
As a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant you should align yourself with five to eight Certified Legal Nurse Consultants who have different nursing specialties and come from different geographical locations. This gives you a pool of potential testifying experts, CLNC® subcontractors, coexhibitors and eliminates competition worries 🙂 ! You can split the expense with two or three CLNC consultants in your alliance and exhibit together. That’s smart use of marketing dollars! Plus, there’s the added benefit of immediate access to fellow CLNC consultants in your alliance when an attorney hires you for a case outside of your nursing specialty.
Congratulations Connie and Frank for thinking and acting strategically.
P.S. Comment here to congratulate Connie and Frank on their new strategic alliance.
P.P.S. If you are interested in exhibiting with our CLNC Marketing Mentors at a legal conference, contact the Institute at 713.942.2200 and ask to speak to Evie.
What an excellent idea! Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us.
