Vickie’s Favorite Quotes: Jim Rohn

Every journey, every endeavor, every effort starts with intention, even if the intention is to not be intentional. That’s still a choice or an intention. Jim Rohn says it perfectly. “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do.”

Vickie Milazzo’s Favorite Jim Rohn Quote About Successful People

Intention is the predecessor and driver to planning, action and discipline. We often allow or choose diluted intention, or worse yet, no intention at all. Example: When someone says, “I’m spontaneous, I don’t like to plan that far ahead” that’s nothing more than an intention to not commit.

Recently someone shared that she wasn’t working as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant even though she had quite a few attorney connections. I quote her: “Vickie, it’s all me, I admit it. So tomorrow I’m going to start making calls from 2:00-4:00pm.” My response: “Well, what’s happening between 8:00am and 2:00pm that’s keeping you from starting earlier?” If the intention is flaccid you can expect the results to be flaccid too.

Have you ever noticed that the legal nurse consultants with the weakest intentions are also the quickest to buy into another’s failure rather than buy into the reality of the Certified Legal Nurse Consultants who are successful?

There’s a reason for that. It’s easier to justify one’s own lack of effort if you can point to someone else who’s not very successful. I am dismayed when I experience a person who is willing to do so little for something they claim to want so much.

Legal nurse consulting is a business, not a hobby. If you want to join the ranks of the successful, you can’t afford to coddle weak intentions.

Success Is Yours!

P.S. Comment here and share what you do to be successful, that unsuccessful people won’t do.

  1. I made the decision to start the CLNC® Certification Program while pregnant. The decision was intimidating because I knew I would have the most life altering experience hitting me in about a month but I did it anyway! My son is 8-months-old and thriving and I just passed the CLNC® Certification Exam on 6/8.
