‘Tis the Season – Joy to the World of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants

Christmas is just five days away and I’m so excited because I get to share it with my 4 ½-year-old niece. Reese is a bundle of energy and joy and her enchanting energy is heightened by the holidays. Remember the excitement you felt as a child on Christmas Eve? Everything was bigger at Christmas – the trees were bigger, the ornaments were bigger and the presents were bigger.

We’d count down the days, struggle to be nice instead of naughty and make endless lists of the gifts we coveted. It was the one night of the year that we wanted to go to bed early so Santa would come.

Once in bed we couldn’t sleep because we were trembling with the anticipation of what we’d find under the tree the next morning. We’d finally close our eyes and suddenly it was morning (albeit about zero-dark thirty) and our parents were trying to keep us away from the tree long enough to brace themselves by throwing down a cup of a steaming hot coffee.

Finally – wrapping paper would fly. Screams of joy and groans of “not more pajamas” would be heard. Then, before we knew it, Christmas was over, the stockings were empty and the anticipation for next year began all over again.

Decades later, if you’re like me, you’re probably more into the giving of presents than receiving them. But one energy I never want to lose is the enchanting energy of anticipation. I am enjoying an enchanting energy as I imagine the joy on little Reese’s face when she opens her first Barbie® doll Christmas morning. I am ecstatic with glee as I anticipate closing out my year restoring and renewing my energy in Napa Valley after Christmas.

I’m practically trembling with the anticipation of going gorilla tracking in Rwanda next year (Something I’ve wanted to do for 10 years now). I am joyful with anticipation of all the new and surprising resources the LegalNurse.com staff and I have created for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. And I’m anticipating even more RNs will be a little naughty in 2014 and escape their dead-end hospital jobs to share their amazing CLNC® Success Stories with all of us.

I’m Just Sayin’ Joy to Your World this Christmas!

P.S. Comment and share what you’re anticipating this Christmas.

  1. Congratulations Vickie and LynAnn for both your successes. It still amazes me how an RN can actually have a life and make dreams come true. It takes a lot of effort to make this business a success with such little investment. I remember an old saying, “If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.”
I just know how much happier I am doing my CLNC® business than I have ever been before in nursing. Something I will never forget is that wonderful feeling I had when presenting my first case to two attorneys. The attorneys had the look of shock and awe on their faces. This firm had never used a CLNC® consultant before and was happy with the results. They won this complex case and settled early.
