Recalibrate Yourself as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant

I had the opportunity to hear George Clooney speak at an event. Yes, he is that good looking in person and yes, Tom came along without kicking and screaming. Okay, maybe a little bit of kicking and screaming – where are my girlfriends when I need them? LOL.

When you look at somebody like George Clooney, it’s easy to think he has it all: looks, money, success and a home on Lake Como in Italy (I’ve been there – Lake Como that is – it’s beautiful). No surprises there – he’s got all that and more, including a complex and intellectual mind to go with those looks.

At the event he shared that he dealt with a health condition and was on pain medication for a year. He didn’t like the way he felt and didn’t want to be dependent on the medication for the rest of his life. So he trained himself to recalibrate pain. In doing so he went on to become the amazing actor and director he is today.

Like George Clooney, every successful Certified Legal Nurse Consultant experiences pain. It’s probably not physical, but you too can recalibrate your pain threshold for rejection, disappointment and the sheer aggravation of managing a business.

After 30 years in my legal nurse consulting business I just experienced 3 days from hell. I was in pain. But it was nothing that my recalibrated threshold couldn’t handle without opioids.

If you’re suffering from the pain of not achieving the success level you desire, ask yourself if a little recalibration is necessary to get you to that next level. It may be giving up a favorite TV show, working a little later or getting up earlier to work on your CLNC® business. Remember, pain is inevitable – it’s the suffering and complaining that’s optional.

I’m just sayin’

P.S. Comment here and share a time when you recalibrated yourself.
