Largest Legal Nurse Consulting Association Launches a Free Online Directory of Nursing Experts for Attorneys
HOUSTON – March 19, 2007 – The National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC®) announces the launch of the new
NACLNC® Online Directory – a database of over 5,000 Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (CLNC® consultants) representing a diverse range of nursing specialties. Free to the legal community, the NACLNC® Online Directory at NACLNCdirectory.org allows attorneys to search for CLNC® consultants by nursing specialty, location, type of service offered to attorneys or keyword pertaining to specific medical issues.
CLNC® consultants are specially trained RNs who consult on medical-related cases for plaintiff or defense attorneys. CLNC® services include reviewing the medical records, screening cases for merit, educating the attorney on the nursing and medical issues, and dozens of other services.
“The NACLNC® is always looking for ways of promoting to attorneys the benefits of using nursing expertise on their medical-related cases,” says NACLNC® founder Vickie L. Milazzo, RN, MSN, JD. “A nurse’s experience and insider knowledge of the healthcare system are invaluable in uncovering crucial case facts in a medical record.”
Milazzo is recognized as the pioneer of legal nurse consulting and the authoritative educator in the field. “Nurses who enter this specialty are advocates for high nursing standards,” she says. “As a specialized member of the litigation team, the CLNC®
consultant makes contributions that are often critical to achieving a fair and just outcome for all parties.”
Simultaneous to the launch of the NACLNC® Online Directory, a multifaceted marketing campaign, including direct marketing and national advertising, is alerting the legal community to this essential new resource. Attorneys can log on free and immediately connect with Certified Legal Nurse Consultants whose skills will help them win cases cost-effectively.
