In a previous Tech Tip I mentioned that I would soon be purchasing a new laptop for myself. Rather than talk about me, let’s talk about you. Do you want to hear about my new laptop? I didn’t think so. I’ll save the story of my trials and trevails for another Tech Tip. Instead, let’s talk about some desktop hardware specifications for my CLNC amigos who don’t need a laptop computer.
My hard drive is filling up fast and getting slower than an office nurse. I’ve only got about 320 GB total space, and with all my photos, music, audio and video recordings and legal nurse consulting business-related documents, it’s darn near full. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time to clean things up before I run into serious issues.
About this time of year Certified Legal Nurse Consultants’ thoughts turn to the purchase of a new computer. Perhaps you feel it’s time to upgrade from your old desktop that takes 45 minutes to boot up in the morning to one of the sleek All-In-One computers. You might be a road warrior who’s tired of hauling an old 70 lb. laptop and are craving a new SSD Ultrabook. Or maybe you’re counter-PC-culture and have an older Mac computer but want to upgrade to a sleek, thin MacBook Air laptop.
Every computer has cookies. Some come from the Internet and are auto-stored on your hard drive in your web browser. Others are stored in your keyboard – they’re the detritus of all those years of Oreos you’ve munched on while hunched over your computer. What’s a CLNC consultant to do other than start a carb-free diet?
