Today we’re in Philipsburg, St. Maarten. This is sort of a schizophrenic country (so the psych nurses will be enthused). The island is a mix of two cultures, the Dutch and the French. If you can imagine wooden shoes and baguettes – well let’s just say you’ve got a better imagination than I do.
I’m about to say three words that send every Certified Legal Nurse Consultant’s heart into AFib and they are, “duty-free shopping.” Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas is probably the duty-free shopping capital of the world.
After all the fun of the first two days, it’s time to buckle down and get to work. Today is our first day of the fabulous educational sessions that make up just part of the NACLNC Conference experience.
One of our favorite things about cruising is having a glass of champagne as the ship sails. Yesterday most of us did just that. The simple ceremony of sailing is such a fine tradition.
Today we board the Wonder of the Seas, one of the largest cruise ships ever built and certainly the largest ship we’ve ever been on.

Thank you for making the 2017 National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants Conference Cruise such a success. I loved hearing how much you learned from the CLNC speakers and watching you network with your new CLNC friends. I had such an awesome time with all of you.
It seems like it was just yesterday that we were cruising the Southern Caribbean. Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Aruba and Curacao are now memories (some foggy, some distinct). I’m so excited to announce that for the 2017 National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants Conference we’ll spend 7 nights cruising the Eastern Caribbean on one of Royal Caribbean’s newest and largest ships, the Harmony of the Seas. It’s so new it won’t even hit the high seas until 2016 – so we’ll be some of the first and finest passengers aboard!
