Have you ever noticed that the more self-absorbed a person is, the unhappier they seem to be? I am blessed to have a great role model in Blanche, an 82-year-old friend, who is like my second mom. I call her the “Neighborhood Samaritan.” Since I was 15 years old I’ve witnessed how she loses herself in the service of others. Whether it’s her church, her friends or the neighborhood kids who visit every day, she always gives her full attention and passion to others in a selfless way. She tires me out just hearing about all of the good deeds she does for everyone on a daily basis. LOL!

RNs at LegalNurse.com’s CLNC^® Certification Seminar sometimes confuse my passion and enthusiasm as “Vickie’s had an easy life and growing her legal nurse consulting business was easy.” They think “After all, if she’d had a hard road she wouldn’t be so chipper and have so much energy.” Trust me, my life hasn’t been easy and in no way do I believe that being passionate about your CLNC business will make your life any easier than it already is.

Passion doesn’t offer any guarantees of easy victory, easy money or easy love. Yet it’s not surprising that the passionate are almost always rewarded with more of everything life, business and love have to offer.

Thoughts for Success – Passion Is a Way of Enjoying Everything to the Fullest

I’m Italian, so passion is wired into my DNA. I’m passionate about everything I do. When passion is a way of life it gets you through the boring tasks and projects, making it easier to not give into the tedium. Yes, I’m often tempted to take a break to clean toilets or iron clothes instead of writing a report.
