Tom’s Tech Tip: Spring Cleaning Time for Your Legal Nurse Consulting Computer
We are deep into Spring and it’s time to clean out all that junk that you’ve accumulated on your computer over the last year.
We are deep into Spring and it’s time to clean out all that junk that you’ve accumulated on your computer over the last year.
Spring is in the air and a young Tech Tipper’s thoughts naturally turn to – you guessed it – cleaning up hard drives, changing passwords and blowing the kettle-cooked potato chip crumbs out of his keyboard.
Technically we’re in the midst of spring. After fall, summer, winter and my birthday, spring is my favorite time of year. But Spring carries with it special responsibilities and one of those is to take care of the computer you use in your legal nurse consulting business.
I am willing to bet that most Certified Legal Nurse Consultants have never defragged their hard drives before reading today’s Tuesday Tech Tip. I’m also willing to bet that many of you will and some of you won’t defrag your hard drives after reading this. Some of my CLNC amigos may even ask me, “What is defragging and why do I need it anyway?”
As even the most astute of my CLNC amigos has noticed it’s November and we’re about six months past Spring (depending upon how you measure the seasons). That means that not only is it Fall and you have to get up, but that it’s been some time since you’ve done any Spring-cleaning in your home, your office and especially your computer and legal nurse consulting files.
