Mindset governs thoughts, assumptions and actions. Do you ever find yourself in a negative mindset that makes your success goals seem an impossible achievement?
Have you ever gone all Debbie Downer about a small issue and let it ruin your day? You’re not alone, although you probably feel like it at the moment – especially when those annoyingly positive people carry on around you seemingly without a care.
Positive people don’t fall into positive states by accident and are no more naturally upbeat than the rest of us. But they do put their intention on the positives more than on the negatives.
In a world with a seeming abundance of negatives (terrorism, taxes, a demanding attorney, presidential elections 😉 ) it pays to focus on the abundant positives before us (a child’s laugh, kind words from a stranger, a demanding attorney, presidential elections 😉 ).
“Do at least one thing a day,” as advised by Vickie – that helps me stay motivated. I know all the negative things we experience or hear about do try to drag us down. We cannot live in shell. We have to learn to accept what we cannot change and change what we can.
