12-Hour Shifts Are a New Legal Nurse Consultant’s Best Friend

CLNC® students sometimes express concern about getting their first legal nurse consulting job while working a full-time RN job at the hospital. My response: 12-hour shifts are your best friend, providing you use your four days off each week to grow your legal nurse consulting business.

12-hour shifts are a gift I didn’t have when I became a legal nurse consultant 32 years ago. Working Monday-Friday I had to get creative. I contacted attorneys before and after hours, and crammed interviews into those odd hours.

So go ahead, shift your thinking. Use those 4 days each week to network, exhibit or employ your favorite marketing strategy with attorney-prospects. Your 12-hour shift at your RN job is the ticket to your next legal nurse consulting job and to your future success as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.

I’m Just Sayin’

P.S. Comment and share how you use your 4 days off each week to grow your CLNC business.
