Tom’s Tech Tip: Send Your Legal Nurse Consulting Files On Their Way!

In my Tech Tip – Don’t Fall Off the (File) Path I gave Certified Legal Nurse Consultants an easy way to insert a document file path into their legal nurse consulting work-product to help keep track of file locations. In today’s Tech Tip I’m going to give you another way to use either Windows Explorer® or the File Open menu, to navigate to a legal nurse consulting document or image on your computer or network and easily attach that file to an email or instead, move it to another location (say a working file or network location).

Here’s how to do it. Open either Windows Explorer, or the File Open menu, navigate to the document, and once you locate it, hold down your Shift key, right click on the file name then select Send to from the selection box.

Now, as you can see, instead of just a simple list of choices, your Send to options are almost limitless! Savvy CLNC® consultants will use this to send a document to your internal fax function (if it’s set up), attach it to an email or simply send to another folder or directory. This is a terrific way to quickly move a file from your desktop to another location and concentrate on earning your legal nurse consultant salary.

If you do a simple Google® search you can even learn how to customize your Send to menu – but that’s something only CLNC Windows® experts should try.

Keep on Techin’,

Tom

P.S. Comment and share whether or not you modify your Windows installation or just use it “out of the box.”
