What Would You Do If You Had More Time? Are You Sure?

With Christmas fast approaching it’s that busy time of year, the time when it’s easy to wonder, “How am I going to possibly get it all done?” I know I’m asking myself that question frequently this week.

Conversely, we all have that one agitating friend who already has the presents wrapped, the tree trimmed and the homemade Christmas cards mailed. Oh, and did I mention the hand-frosted Christmas cookies for Santa and the neighborhood kids? I have a friend just like that who always seems to have enough time to get everything done – it’s almost like she creates time and has more of it than I ever will.

Time, however, is an equal-opportunity asset. Whether it’s during the holiday season or in our CLNC® business, we all get the same 24 hours each day. Success for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (and any professional) is heavily influenced by one factor – how you manage yours.

And how you manage your 24 hours is dependent on how you manage you – your actions, your attitudes and your emotions, and how you do so without pushing and prodding from anyone else. I know Certified Legal Nurse Consultants who are masters at managing themselves. Not only are they successful, they’re also confident, happy and self-reliant. I’ve met a few who don’t do much with their 24 hours and their lack of success leads to self-doubt and even more lack of focus.

The only thing that gets in the way of you, is you. I’ve gotten in my own way more than once this year and learned that the best solution is to get out of my own way as fast as possible. Do you need to get out of your own way to make time to succeed as a CLNC consultant?
