We live during a time when it’s almost fashionable to be out of control. If you disagree, have you checked your Facebook newsfeed recently? It’s full of examples of people that are out of control and are totally okay with letting the world know they are.
After growing up in New Orleans, I confess I occasionally like to be out of control myself. But when it comes to your CLNC® business, self-control is a prerequisite.
Ask yourself where your self-control falls short. Maybe it’s time to control your wandering mind and those obsessive and negative thoughts. Maybe it’s time to control your unproductive busyness. Maybe it’s time to stop getting lost in that Twitter feed or pinning on Pinterest. Or maybe it’s time to control that family member who doesn’t understand that you work for a living from your home office and expects you to drop off the dry-cleaning, babysit, cook a gourmet dinner and, oh yes, pick up those yummy red velvet cupcakes.
Go ahead, fill in the blanks where your own self-control falls short. The sooner you get them under control, the better off you’ll be as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. Plus you can always look at Pinterest when you’re done working – it’ll still be there, I guarantee it.
I’m just sayin’
P.S. Comment here and share how you know when you’re out of control.
Amen! I totally hear ya! I have gotten into a bad habit of going through my emails at the start of the day. By the time I get through – I have spent an hour or more just checking and replying – not all business related. I have been trying to just sit down and work but the little alert goes off or the pop up – an email with the new outfit I was just looking for. OR I am responding to Vickie’s Legal Nurse Consulting Blog. You get my drift…yep, still trying to break this very unproductive habit! Does anyone else have this problem?
