Ask Vickie: Is It Too Late to Retie the Connection?

Vickie,

I have spent the last two years recovering from an illness that kept me from working on my legal nurse consulting business. During that time, I have lost contact with my attorney-clients. Is it too late to revive those business relationships?

Mary, RN, CLNC

Hi Mary,

Unless they were unhappy with you before your illness, what do you have to lose? Go ahead, contact them and retie the connection. The timing just might be right with the attorneys. If not, they might know other attorneys who could benefit from your expertise and the 30 CLNC® services you provide.

No matter the outcome, you can start fresh any day you choose. There are 1,245,205 attorneys out there. So don’t beat yourself up for what was lost. Instead, focus on what there is to gain.

Success Is Yours!

P.S. Comment and share your tips for reviving business relationships.

  1. Thanks, Vickie! Your words to Mary are so encouraging. My situation is different, but I will use them for myself as well.

  2. I want to thank Mary for having the courage to write you and to thank you for your final words “focus on what there is to be gained.” I too have been ill for the past 3 years and 2009 was going to be my stellar year! Then the bottom fell out of my life and I am trying slowly to ‘recover’ and restart. This blog has reinforced my decision to move forward. Seeing you and Stedman Graham in Chicago was an incentive booster too! I thank the 3 of you and will keep my attention focused on what will be gained!
