Yeah, you don't want to have any personal or confidential conversations over Facebook...unless they are emails sent directly to the person, or instant messages between you and the other person.

Terri,

All you have to do is go to www.facebook.com and the first page you come to they give you the opportunity to sign up. I signed up a few weeks ago, but didn't really start getting on there until this past weekend. I think I am going to like it.

Maybe I will see you on there!

Well, I came out of the cave and into the 21st century. Don't know if I like it much. Since joining Facebook I have received messages from everyone in the world. LOL. Mostly CLNC® consultants (that's great). I do have a concern. Does everyone in my "circle of friends" view every message that I write? Am I correct in assuming that no one should use Facebook for communicating important business-related issues? Thank you.

Kevin brings up a good point...you want to take the time to build up trust. The key is to "soft pitch." Give an update about a success you had with legal nurse consulting, and people will respond better than if you gave everyone a hard pitch.

A few weeks back, Brian Horn suggested Facebook, Linkd In and Twitter. I got on Facebook with some help from my kids and have rekindled many old relationships. Linkd In seems to be very business oriented. I'm slowly getting contacts there. I'm finding it fun to learn about people and what they do. I have not yet tried to sell myself as much as I have tried to gain trust and make friends. I'm sure that as I do this and people read my profile, then the opportunity will present itself and I will be ready. I'm also looking forward to connecting with more CLNC® consultants through Facebook and Linkd In. Please send me an invite.

Happy networking y'all.

I have had a Facebook account for about a year, but have not spent much time looking around in it. I had not thought of searching for potential attorney-clients in Facebook. Thanks for the tip!
