Between work, computers, tablets, the Internet, Game of Thrones and smartphones it’s possible to never step outside, except to get a better signal or to get in and out of your car.
One of my favorite quotes “Don’t forget to go outside and play” reminds us that smartphones, devices and the Internet should not be how we define play.
Recently, my road krewe stepped outside and visited the Morton Arboretum the Sunday before we started the Chicago Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Program. That short visit – spending time among amazing trees, landscapes and an added bonus of whimsical frog sculptures – reenergized and set me up for an awesome week with the CLNC® consultant students.
There is so much more to life than electronics (really). Step outside regularly and play.
Success Is Yours!
P.S. Comment and share your favorite way to play outdoors.
I’ve been sitting inside way too much. Good advice. I’ll take it! Susan
Absolutely agree! I live on a golf course with manmade lakes, lots of geese and goslings, many talkative and busy birds, and trees galore. I appreciate this daily for energizing and clearing my mind.
I live in the country and I love hearing the birds sing every day or seeing deer, antelope (I know what you are thinking, no buffalo here) and rabbits.
I’ll bet that frog statue in the picture was drinking a cup of green tea. Thanks for sharing.
