CLNC® Success Story: Exhibiting, Researching and Networking Pay Off Big for This Resourceful Certified Legal Nurse Consultant
Certified Legal Nurse Consultant Susan Schaab, RN, BSN, CLNC shares the legal nurse consulting success she achieved while exhibiting at a legal conference. Susan learned that an attorney for a large outdoor resort company had stopped by her booth but missed her. Determined not to miss out on this major attorney-prospect, she crafted a plan to meet the attorney at a networking dinner that evening.
Susan researched the company so she could customize the benefits of her CLNC services to their specific needs. Arriving early at the networking dinner, Susan located the attorney and began a casual conversation. She gradually brought the conversation around to her role as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and how she could help his company defend the variety of cases they litigate.
Two and a half hours later, the attorney shared, “You know, insurance companies have tried to do this (legal nurse consulting) themselves for years and they don’t do it well.” Susan’s response, “Exactly!” Susan is now the exclusive Certified Legal Nurse Consultant for this attorney and his company. Her combination of exhibiting, researching and smart networking contributed to her CLNC success and paid off big.
