Halloween always reminds me that I wouldn’t be a legal nurse consultant and where I am today if I had clung to one particular childhood fear. That fear came horrifyingly to life every Halloween. Click here for my story on National Public Radio’s “This I Believe,” if you’d like to know what that fear was and how I overcame it.
Here’s to stepping out for your legal nurse consulting business.
P.S. Comment and share your strategies for stepping out of fear.
I agree with you Vickie on your thoughts of stepping out of your comfort zone. My thought is if I don’t take the risk, I will never know. I would not be in the position I am today if I did not step out of that comfort zone in several areas of my life. Going for my CLNC® certification this year was an exciting but “scary” adventure for me. I have learned a ton since then. Today, I sponsored my first PI CLE seminar for our local bar association. I did not know if I was “prepared” enough when I first signed up to sponsor it in early October; however, I did it anyway because I knew it would give me exposure to more attorneys at one time than I could hope for in a week or more of cold calling. My plan worked. I talked with attorneys, they asked me questions and took my business cards and pens, and they listened to me. I had a great morning at the CLE! I am so glad I stepped out beyond my fear. Thank you Vickie, mentors and fellow CLNC® consultants for your continued support and motivation!
I remember reading your childhood Halloween story about taking those steps to the top to get the great candy bar and how scared you were.
If you had not taken those steps toward your CLNC® consulting success, I would not be here nor would thousands of other CLNC® consultants. I admire what you have done to build your business into what it is today and I’m very grateful.
When I speak of who trained me, LegalNurse.com, to paralegals and attorneys, they seem to know who you are, even in a remote state.
I just got word today I have another big case coming, thanks to you!
Congrats Rosie and thanks for sharing your great news on the big case you just got!
