Thoughts for Success: If Business Was Easy, Everybody Would Be Doing It
Business is hard and I’m glad it is. Even after 32 years in business things don’t always go as planned at LegalNurse.com. Like all Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, we have days when the train comes off the track. And when it does, my staff is likely to hear me say, “If business was easy, everybody would be doing it.”
That single phrase reminds me (and them) that there’s a reason no one else does what we do and no one does it the way we do it. After a laugh together we buckle down and work on getting the train back on the track.
The next time your legal nurse consulting train is derailed I invite you to quote me. It works – I’ve been giving my all for 32 years and one thing I’ve learned is the more you respect that business is hard, the easier it gets.

Thanks, Vickie. I really needed to hear that. I recently felt derailed. However if owning your own business was easy everyone would do it instead of continuing to trudge day after day from paycheck to paycheck just getting by. Lynette
Yes ma’am, I quote this phrase a lot myself.
What I do to make my CLNC® business easy, is a lot of hard work.
If business is slow, I network and go to lunch with a CLNC® friend and discuss marketing strategies. Yesterday, I took brownies to two law firms and ran into one attorney-client. I just asked, “How are things going, Dave?” Then I shut up and listened. He gave me another case.
