One person’s failure often becomes another person’s success. Years ago a medical malpractice attorney (and eventual long-term client) shared that he had tossed another legal nurse consultant’s report in the trash because it was so bad.
I doubt that the RN knew where her report landed and she might not have even known that she just experienced failure. Her failure became my success and the attorney proved to have an insatiable need for quality work product that I was more than happy to fulfill. The other legal nurse consultant missed out big time.
The most successful Certified Legal Nurse Consultants are always waiting in the background when another consultant fails. They know that another’s failure will soon be their success. It’s not personal – it’s just business and you want to be in the business of CLNC success.

P.S. Comment and share when someone’s failure has resulted in your success.
I cannot fathom not taking a serious approach on the work product. But it is like you said, “the failure of others can become your success.”
