We all have a story. Sometimes our story is about the family we’ve raised, our CLNC® business or the problems we’re struggling with. For most of us, our stories define who we are. How and what we think of ourselves is only in the context of our story.
But what if your old story isn’t working for you? Is it time to write a different story? That means forgetting who we think we are as defined by our current story, and freeing ourselves to create an entirely new one.
One of my favorite things about my twin brother Vince is his ability to never tell the same story the same way twice. Whenever he tells me a “true Hollywood story” about our childhood exploits, the story is much more entertaining than it ever was when it was actually happening. Every story is fresh and unencumbered by the facts as they really were. The story changes a little each time he tells it – that’s why I got him the t-shirt “cool story bro. Tell it again.”
Maybe it’s time to add something fresh or some new entertainment to your own story so you can tell it again and people will want to listen. Maybe you should listen, too.
Success Is Inside!
P.S. Comment and share what fresh story you want to write for yourself.
